The gnarled Forsworn bow felt awkward and unfamiliar in his hand. He’d have much preferred to use his axes, but he had not anticipated the Forsworn tribe keeping a troll as a pet. The tussle with the ugly beast had cost him two axes and the fur off his nose. The sneaking hag nearby that kept control of the beast had added to his ire by delivering him a nasty cut to his belly. In a flash of panic and brief inspiration, he had snatched a loose bow and five arrows from a table, then turned into the wind to face his pursuers. He hoped five arrows was enough to prolong his life, for now.
"When in doubt…" Ma’Teo hissed through a tight jaw.
Ok, yes, that was corny. Anyways, I finally located my stupid watercolors, and had some time this weekend (before the quarter bogs me down with homework) to finish this. Admittedly, it didn’t turn out the way I would have preferred, but it still turned out decently. I definitely like the bow and the armor.
